摘要：We give a brief introduction on some methods for qualitative analysis of elliptic type nonlinear PDEs and some of our research works on related problems. It is mainly on maximum principles, Liouville type theorems and classification of solutions. We focus on the Hardy Littlewood-Sobolev type systems and curvatures related geometric equations. We also report some recent work on steady Euler equations when time permit.

专家简介：李从明，上海交通大学讲席教授，师从国际数学界分析学大师L. Nirenberg，在几何分析、流体力学、非线性偏微分和积分方程（组）及其相关应用领域做出了一系列一流的原创性工作。已发表SCI论文90余篇，包括国际顶尖期刊PNAS, Ann. of Math., Invent. Math., Duke Math. J., CPAM, Adv. Math., JDG等, 被引用累计超过5500余次，发表学术专著2部。2017年当选美国数学会会士，目前担任《Discrete and Continuous Dynamics, Series A》、《Acta Mathematica Scientia》编委。
